Tom Goodwin is a Chicago actor, performing on stage, television, and film. He most recently played Senator E.W. Higgins in the Chicago premiere of Alabama Story, produced by Ghostlight Ensemble. He played Sheriff Miles Parker on NBC's Chicago Med and is the voice of Bruce Carter in Blake Armstrong's audio western, Esperanza.
Tom was a member of Frump Tucker Theatre Company (Chicago), where he performed in Trust, How I Learned to Drive, and other stage productions. He also performed on stage in the comedy “Pitching Penguins” (Flaxen Theater), about which the Chicago Reader observed, “Tom possesses the smooth Newhartian touch necessary to consistently pull the comedy off.”
He studied long-form improvisation at iO Chicago (then ImprovOlympic), under Charna Halpern, Jason Sudeikis, and others. He has continued his acting training at The Green Room Studio, The Forge, and Act One Studio.
Tom is a graduate of The University of Alabama, earning a BA in English/Creative Writing and an MA in Communication.
